Loading of the voice prosthesis
First the proper attachment of the voice prosthesis onto the insertion pin needs to be secured by pressing down the voice prosthesis. Next the insertion pin has to be pulled all the way down into the folding tool and be clicked in place. Subsequently, the folding tool is squeezed together, ensuring proper forward folding of the esophageal flange.
